Elizabeth Medical Center, Fort Thomas, KY. Roy retired from General Electric as 

Manager of the Aircraft Engines Division. Graduate of Newport High School. 

Member of the Newport Elks and the Elfun Society of GE. Veteran of the Marine 

Corp during the Korean Conflict. Avid Golfer playing mostly out of Kenton County 

Golf Course. Born September 9, 1932 in Ashland, KY to the late Roy W. Keeney and 

Irene Porter Keeney. He was preceded in death by his Son, Bruce Keeney. Roy is 

survived by his Wife of 54 years, Shirley (nee Wenk) Keeney of Fort Thomas, KY, 

Daughter, Cindy (Jack) Dierkes of Anderson Township, OH, Brother, James Keeney 

of OH, also 2 Grandchildren, Michael and Kristin (Adam). Visitation 11:00 am to 

1:00 pm, Friday, December 13, 2013 at Dobbling Funeral Home, 106 S. Fort Thomas 

Ave., Fort Thomas,Kentucky. Service will be held 1:00 pm Friday, December 13, 

2013, at the Dobbling Funeral Home, Fort Thomas, with Rev. Mike Sweeney, 

officiating. Burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate, 

Kentucky. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donors choice . Online
